Music Video for the band Balloon Ride Fantasy. This was something I had a great time planning. The digital effects are Eyes to the Sky Films' own creations, including the eye overlay and lens flare. The Android chest opener is a practical special effect designed and executed on set by the mad scientist Cody Ruch.
This is a Minidoc I made in 2013. The Compusure, a nationally known and touring act featuring some former members of the band Punchline, was playing a basement of all things. I decided to ask them about it.
SAAPYA (South Asian American Perspectives on Yoga in America) contacted me about doing a short promo for them while they were in fellowship at the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh. It was a great piece of community outreach.
This was the 2014 music video for local Pittsburgh band Action Camp. Everything was done on a soundstage using various DIY lighting techniques.
Kid Durango wanted to highlight the punk/grunge aesthetic while doing something that normally could only be done in a specialized facility. We decided on a pretty unique lighting setup using $10 worth of parts from a local hardware store, and shot at a local music venue.
Broken Fences had a brilliant concept. I wanted the color saturation of the leaves in fall, but also wanted to stay to to the original concept, so I rotoscoped the balloon's color by hand in over 1000 frames of video.
This is an animatic done for The Pittsburgh Scene in order to promote their video offerings circa 2013.
This is a Fundraising Campaign Video for a church in Washington, PA that was distributed via DVD, e-mail blast and displayed during the church's Minutes for Mission program. The video's goal was not to directly ask for funds and instead highlight the work the church was doing to stretch the funds they'd already been given.
Good friend and local playwright James Michael Shoberg directed a gritty, visceral stage adaptation of The Butcher Brothers' film The Hamiltons with permission from Lionsgate Films. I shot the play and edited together this video for their Fall 2012 IndieGoGo campaign.
Pittsburgh band Pete Bush and the Hoi Polloi shot this music video at Broadcast Lane Studios in Homestead one evening. Audio was recorded on the spot and the video was done in several extra takes. We wanted it to have a live feel. Despite the soft release, the video received over 600 views in only a few weeks time.
Local music website ThePittsburghScene.com needed a video to help promote their anniversary show, which was being held at Stage AE on the North Shore. It was distributed through their website, on YouTube and over social networking platforms. The concert was the first all locals show to sell out the club stage at Stage AE.
Strength in Numbers was a concert put together to benefit St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital. This video was used to promote the concert and was shared by local radio stations and media outlets as well as included in e-mail blasts and distributed over social networking platforms. The concert raised nearly $5000 for St. Jude's.
